Five stars without hesitation. Maple up front, then smoky and powdery underneath, and it never turns sugary. Odd concept, brilliantly executed. I only wear it on cold evenings, because in summer heat it would feel completely wrong.

My first-frost fragrance
I reach for my 30 ml decant the moment the first cold morning arrives. The maple sits softly against cedarwood, with a smoky edge. Best from October to February; too warm for spring. Cosy without turning sugary.

Testowałam go przez kilka wieczorów, nakładając po dwa psiknięcia na nadgarstki i dekolt. Nie podam liczby godzin, bo nie mierzyłam czasu zegarkiem, za to potrafię opisać przebieg: na początku świeże neroli, po jakimś czasie cieplejsze drzewo sandałowe, na końcu miękka laska wanilii. Przejścia między etapami są spokojne i bez gwałtownych zwrotów. Najlepiej sprawdza się jesienią i zimą, wieczorem, kiedy mam czas go obserwować. Zdecydowanie pięć gwiazdek.

Ein ungewöhnlicher, warmer Duft mit Ahorn und Zedernholz, ruhig und sehr eigen. Für kalte Herbst- und Winterabende genau richtig, im Frühling oder Sommer wäre er mir zu schwer. Vier Sterne, weil er nicht jedermanns Sache ist.
