Myrrh

2

Myrrh is a gum resin that hardens on the bark of Commiphora trees, which grow in the Red Sea region and the Horn of Africa. It smells warm, balsamic and bittersweet, with a dry, smoky edge and a hint of dark spice. Perfumers use it in incense and amber accords, often alongside frankincense, where it adds weight and a rich, resinous depth. Used lightly, it gives a sweet, slightly earthy warmth that makes woods and vanilla feel deeper. It has a rich, ancient character without ever being heavy-handed.

In this range it mostly sits in the heart and base, adding a smoky, bittersweet resin that deepens amber, wood and incense notes.
