Mandarin oil is pressed from the peel of a small, sweet citrus fruit. The scent is juicy, soft and sunny, sweeter and rounder than lemon or bergamot, with a slight floral thread.
Peach has no useful essential oil, so perfumers build the note from aroma molecules called lactones, which smell creamy, soft and fruity. The effect is velvety and juicy, with a sweet, slightly fuzzy skin and a hint of apricot.
Jasmine is a white flower picked by hand when its scent is at its fullest. The absolute made from it smells rich, sweet and heady, with green, fruity and slightly animal sides.
Vanilla comes from the cured pods of a climbing orchid. The pods are fermented and dried until they turn dark and oily, and that process develops the scent.
It opens with Mandarin Orange and Peach. The heart holds Jasmine and Red Lily. It rests on Vanilla.
