Kawa Karda opens with coffee, cardamom and bergamot, an aromatic start that feels like a freshly poured cup. Jasmine, rose and oud follow, and the base is amber, benzoin, musk and vanilla. Warm, smoky and long-lasting, with a moderate trail.

Easily my favourite of the Atelier des Ors bottles I own! Nothing else from the house is this addictive: the coffee and cardamom open it up like a proper evening treat, and it just keeps getting richer.

Zaraz po psiknięciu uderza kawa z kardamonem, mocno i apetycznie. Po jakimś czasie robi się cieplej i bardziej kremowo, wchodzi ambra. Wzięłam 3 ml odlewkę i jestem zachwycona.

A randevúra ezt választottam, és jó döntés volt. Az első pillanatban a kávé és a kardamom hozza a hangulatot, aztán lassan jön a meleg ámbra. Nem túl édes, inkább elegáns és kicsit titokzatos. A párom többször megjegyezte, milyen jó illatom van, és egész este élveztem. Őszi-téli esték kedvence lett nálam, vacsorához, borozáshoz tökéletes. Biztosan viszem még randikra, amikor valami különlegeset szeretnék.

Bergamot is a citrus fruit grown mainly for its peel, which is cold-pressed to give a fragrant oil. The scent is bright and sparkling, a little floral and slightly bitter, softer than lemon and less sweet than orange.
Cardamom is a spice from the seed pods of a plant in the ginger family. The pods are dried and their seeds distilled into an aromatic oil.
Coffee in perfume comes from roasted beans, extracted into an absolute or a CO2 extract, and it smells dark, bitter and toasty with a warm, nutty sweetness. Brewed coffee has a sharper, more acidic top that is hard to capture, so perfumers often add roasted accords.
Jasmine is a white flower picked by hand when its scent is at its fullest. The absolute made from it smells rich, sweet and heady, with green, fruity and slightly animal sides.
Oud is the dark, resin-rich heartwood of Aquilaria trees, formed when the wood reacts to injury and infection. It is distilled into a thick oil that smells woody, smoky and leathery, with a sweet balsamic depth and sometimes a faintly animalic edge.
Rose is one of the most widely used flowers in perfumery. Its scent comes from petals, mostly through steam distillation for rose oil or solvent extraction for rose absolute.
It opens with Bergamot, Cardamom and Coffee. The heart holds Jasmine, Oud and Rose. It rests on Amber, Benzoin, Musk and Vanilla.
