Agarwood and chocolate open dark and rich. The base brings Australian sandalwood, Ceylon cinnamon, tonka bean, magnolia and white flowers, so the sweetness stays warm, spiced and a little creamy. Long-lasting, with a strong sillage, it is rich enough to carry a cold evening on its own.

Back for a second 3 ml decant, which says most of it. Pardon opens dark and a little bitter, like chocolate left on a cold windowsill, then warms into something smooth and woody with a thread of cinnamon through it. I wear it on autumn evenings when I want to feel wrapped up. It keeps me company for a good part of the night, more a quiet presence than a loud one. Four stars only because I wish it lingered a little longer into the morning. Still, I keep coming back to it.

Jag använder Pardon när kvällen ska kännas lite högtidlig: middag med vänner, en mörk höstkväll eller ett glas vin i lugn och ro. Det börjar med choklad och agarträ, sedan lägger sig kanelen mjukt ovanpå och det hela blir värmande och lätt sött. Två sprayar på halsen och handlederna räcker gott, för projektionen är måttlig och doften sitter nära. Den håller för det mesta några timmar in på kvällen, vilket passar mig fint. Inget för en varm sommardag, men perfekt när det blir kallare.
