The eight Acqua di Giò versions, from Eau de Toilette to Elixir
Acqua di Giò Parfum, Profondo and Elixir differ at their centre: the Parfum is built on incense, Profondo on marine notes and lavandin, and the Elixir on violet and leather. All eight current versions below are grouped by Armani's concentration labels, seven of them with regular bottle prices per 100 ml; Armani publishes no percentages, so there is no ranking within a label group.

Parfum vs Profondo vs Elixir head-to-head
Incense distinguishes the 2023 Parfum in Armani's description. Alberto Morillas composed it around bergamot heart, ginger and marine notes, followed by bourbon geranium, rosemary essence and clary sage heart. Woods, patchouli essence and incense form the base; Armani describes its character as woody, aquatic and spicy.
Profondo arrived in 2020, also by Morillas, as the fougère branch. Marine notes and green mandarin lead to lavandin and rosemary, with cedar and patchouli underneath. Its blue lacquer fades down the bottle beneath an intense blue cap.
The Elixir of 2025 is the outlier, and not only by price. An intense violet accord carries the heart, joined by a sensual leather accord and an invigorating marine accord; Armani labels the family woody leathery and calls this the most concentrated scent ever created in the collection. One size only, 50 ml, in a square bottle with softly rounded edges, lacquered deep black on the inside.
The Eau de Toilette label: the 1996 original and Profondo EDT
The 1996 Eau de Toilette, created by Alberto Morillas of Firmenich, is the citrus-marine original. Jasmine and cedar wood join its bergamot and marine notes, above white musks and patchouli. Armani calls it the range's original signature. Sizes run 30, 50, 100 and 200 ml, with a separate 150 ml refill; the frosted glass fades to clear at the base.
Profondo Eau de Toilette joined in 2025 as the Eau de Toilette of the Profondo branch: lemon essence and fresh spices above, lavandin essence and an aquatic accord in the middle, patchouli and a woody-mineral accord below. Its bottle is graduated frosted blue. The French store carries it in its comparison table without a figure; the UK store is where it is priced and sold.

Acqua di Giò Profondo Eau de Toilette
Eau de Toilette · 2025
Lemon essence and fresh spices lead into lavandin essence and an aquatic accord. Patchouli and a woody-mineral accord hold the base, and the glass is frosted blue in a gradient.
The Eau de Parfum label: 2022 and the Intense of 2026
Green mandarin joins marine notes in the 2022 Eau de Parfum. Clary sage and lavandin fill the heart, vetiver and patchouli the base. Armani gives the family as woody with an aromatic character. A black gradient lacquer and black cap dress the 50 and 100 ml bottles.
Eau de Parfum Intense followed in 2026, again by Morillas of Firmenich. Its description centres on vibrant bergamot heart, a tonic aquatic accord and powerful woody and amber notes. The launch material adds apple and grapefruit accords, mandarin, clary sage, Yodanol and patchouli. Armani makes its own "+12H" freshness claim for the scent. Deep black lacquer covers the 30, 50 and 100 ml bottles; the 100 ml is listed at €135.

Eau de Parfum · 2026
Aquatic, woody and amber accords accompany bergamot in the newest version. The 30 and 50 ml bottles cost €84 and €99 respectively, while the 100 ml is €135.
Profondo, the fougère of the line
February 2020 brought Profondo Eau de Parfum, the aromatic fougère by Morillas. Sizes are 30, 50, 100 and 200 ml, with a 150 ml refill at €165, equivalent to €110 per 100 ml. The 100 ml bottle is €135 and the 200 ml works out at €100 per 100 ml.
Against the Parfum, Profondo's note list puts lavandin and rosemary where the other version emphasises incense. Both retain marine notes and patchouli; Armani assigns them different families, fougère for Profondo and woody for the Parfum.

The Parfum label: Parfum and Profondo Parfum
Both Parfum versions cost €157 at 100 ml and are offered in 30, 50, 100 and 200 ml. The incense-led Parfum comes in black gradient glass, described by Armani as fully refillable. Its 200 ml bottle costs €240, equivalent to €120 per 100 ml.
Profondo Parfum, from 2024 and also by Morillas, takes a resinous-mineral route. Its pyramid runs marine notes and bergamot, immortelle essence, then balsamic cistus absolute and patchouli. Armani files it as hesperidic. Deep blue glass fades to translucent turquoise; the 200 ml has the same €240 regular price as the Parfum.

Elixir: violet and leather at the top of the price scale
The 2025 Elixir has no Eau de Parfum or Parfum designation on its French page. Armani instead describes it as the collection's most concentrated fragrance. Its printed pyramid names bergamot, intense violet accord and leather accord; the description also includes a marine accord. The single 50 ml size costs €132, equivalent to €264 per 100 ml.
