Cardamom

Cardamom is a spice from the seed pods of a plant in the ginger family. The pods are dried and their seeds distilled into an aromatic oil. The scent is spicy and fresh, slightly sweet, with a cool, almost eucalyptus-like lift and a hint of citrus. It is lighter and cleaner than cinnamon or clove. Perfumers use cardamom to give an opening a polished, aromatic spice, and it pairs naturally with citrus, ginger, lavender, woods and amber. It is common in both fresh masculine scents and warm oriental ones.
