Green Mandarin
1Green mandarin is made from mandarins picked before they ripen, and the oil is pressed from the peel. The smell is sharper, fresher and less sweet than ripe mandarin, with a tart juiciness, a bitter green peel note and a clean, almost herbal sparkle. It feels crisp rather than cuddly. Perfumers use it to open a fragrance with energy, and it works especially well with aromatic herbs, mint, basil and light woods. It brings a bright, natural opening that stays light on the skin.
Green mandarin mostly opens the fragrances in this range, a sharp, juicy start that is fresher and less sweet than ripe citrus.
