Lily

5

Lily refers to the large white blooms of the Lilium genus, known for a strong, heady scent. It smells creamy and rich, with a slightly green, waxy petal and a hint of spice. The flower is rarely extracted for perfume, so perfumers usually compose the note from floral materials, which lets them make it airy and dewy or dense and sultry. Lily sits in the white floral family beside tuberose, jasmine and gardenia. It gives a floral heart volume and warmth, and it blends easily with musk, woods and soft spice to make the bouquet feel full.

Lily is mostly a heart note here, adding a creamy, heady white-floral richness that sits between bright openings and the warmer base.
