Pear

Pear is a fruit note that perfumers recreate rather than distil. The note smells juicy, crisp and watery, with a pale green freshness and a gentle sweetness, like biting into the flesh of a ripe fruit. It is lighter than peach and less tart than apple. Pear adds sparkle and a clean fruity lift to the top of floral, woody and musky fragrances, and it blends easily with bergamot, jasmine, white musk and sandalwood. It is a soft, friendly note that rarely overwhelms.
