Bergamot is a citrus fruit grown mainly for its peel, which is cold-pressed to give a fragrant oil. The scent is bright and sparkling, a little floral and slightly bitter, softer than lemon and less sweet than orange.
Pink pepper is not true pepper. It is the dried berry of a tree from the Schinus family.
Magnolia flowers are large, creamy and fragrant, and their scent is usually recreated by perfumers. The note smells fresh, lemony and slightly fruity, with a creamy floral softness and a green, leafy edge.
Peony is a large garden flower, and its delicate scent is recreated by perfumers with aroma molecules. The note smells soft, fresh and rosy, with a watery, slightly green and lightly fruity sweetness.
Rose is one of the most widely used flowers in perfumery. Its scent comes from petals, mostly through steam distillation for rose oil or solvent extraction for rose absolute.
Amber in perfume is not a single ingredient. It is an accord, a warm blend built from resins such as labdanum and benzoin, often with vanilla and a little musk.
