Aldehydes
3Aldehydes are a family of aroma molecules, made in the lab and also found in nature, that add a sparkling, abstract lift to a fragrance. The smell is clean and bright, like fresh linen, soap, waxy citrus peel or a cool metallic fizz. In small amounts they make florals shimmer and give a composition an airy, polished opening. They are linked to classic, elegant perfumery, but modern versions use them with a lighter touch. Their job is to add height, air and a crisp sparkle.
In this range they sit almost entirely in the top, a bright, soapy sparkle that lifts florals and musks before the heart takes over.
