Ambroxan 35 Ambroxan is a modern aroma molecule used by perfumers. It smells warm, woody and ambery, with a mineral, slightly salty and musky quality that feels clean and close to the skin. It is smooth rather than sweet, and it has a soft glow. Perfumers use it as a base note to add body and a modern, airy woodiness, and it pairs easily with citrus, spice and musk. It is found in many contemporary fresh, woody and aquatic fragrances. It tends to read as clean rather than sweet.
Ambroxan sits almost entirely in the base in this range, giving a warm, mineral woodiness that glows softly beneath the fresher notes.
