Geranium
10Geranium oil is distilled from the leaves and stems of scented pelargonium plants. The scent is green, minty and rosy, with a slight lemony edge and a hint of fruit. It is often used to give a rose a leafy, natural look, and it works as a bridge between fresh and floral notes. Perfumers add geranium to fougères, florals and aromatic woods. It gives a fresh, slightly peppery lift to the heart of a fragrance and sits easily beside lavender, citrus and patchouli.
Geranium is mostly a heart note in this range, adding a green, rosy freshness between the opening and the base.
