Lily-of-the-Valley
4Lily-of-the-valley, known in perfumery as muguet, is a tiny white bell flower that gives no extractable oil. Perfumers recreate its scent with aroma molecules. The result is fresh, green and dewy, with a clean, slightly soapy and watery floral sweetness. It smells like spring and open windows. Muguet is a classic note of airy florals, and it blends with jasmine, rose, peony and musk. It adds lightness and a transparent glow to the heart of a perfume. It is one of the cleanest, lightest flowers in perfumery.
Lily-of-the-valley is a heart note in most perfumes here, adding a clean, green, dewy floral lightness.
