Perfumes like Burberry Goddess: six vanilla alternatives compared
Markdown: https://parfum1.com/guides/burberry-goddess-dupes.md · Index: /llms.txt
Lattafa Angham is the Burberry Goddess dupe that several fragrance guides name first, and it is the closest on notes: vanilla, lavender, cacao and ginger, with praline and amber added. Lattafa’s Asad Bourbon, Amouage’s Love Delight, Nishane’s Ani, Yves Saint Laurent’s Libre Intense and BDK’s Vanille Caviar share the vanilla and each takes its own route. The table compares all six.
| Perfume | House | Character | Shared with Goddess | Main difference |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Angham | Lattafa | Oriental vanilla | Vanilla, lavender, cacao, ginger | Adds praline and amber; sweeter and less herbal |
| Asad Bourbon | Lattafa | Warm, spiced vanilla | Vanilla, lavender, cacao | Nutmeg, davana and vetiver make it drier and spicier |
| Love Delight | Amouage | Floral gourmand | Vanilla, cocoa, ginger | Rose, jasmine, cinnamon and rum; no lavender |
| Libre Intense | Yves Saint Laurent | Floral vanilla | Vanilla, lavender | Orange blossom and orchid; floral |
| Ani | Nishane | Spicy, woody vanilla | Vanilla, ginger | Cedarwood, patchouli and cardamom; no lavender |
| Vanille Caviar | BDK Parfums | Resinous, ambery vanilla | Vanilla, cocoa | Peru balsam, labdanum and a salty-mineral accord |
Burberry Goddess in brief
Burberry describes Goddess as a gourmand fragrance “led by a powerful trio of vanillas, enriched with luminous lavender”. It launched in 2023 and was composed by the perfumer Amandine Clerc-Marie. Burberry also calls it the first refillable perfume it has made.
As published at launch, the pyramid is short. The top is vanilla infusion and lavender, the heart is vanilla caviar and the base is vanilla absolute. Clerc-Marie said she used three distinct types of vanilla extraction, and she described the absolute as darker and richer, with a mysterious, milky aspect.
That gives a dupe four notes to match: the gourmand vanilla, the lavender Burberry pairs it with, and the cocoa and ginger the launch text adds. Any perfume that adds cinnamon, rum, roses or woods is its own perfume, even when it shares the vanilla. How top, heart and base notes work is covered in perfume notes explained.
Closest on notes: Lattafa Angham
Lattafa
Angham
Eau de Parfum
Lattafa gives mandarin, ginger and pink pepper in the opening, praline, lavender and cacao in the middle, and musk, amber and vanilla in the dry-down. That puts vanilla and lavender, the two notes Goddess is built on, in a sweeter frame. Several fragrance guides name Angham first. One says wearers find a slightly sweeter, less herbal profile than the original.

Five more perfumes with Goddess’ vanilla
These five take the vanilla in new directions. Each card quotes the maker’s own notes, names what overlaps with Goddess and states the main difference.
Lattafa
Asad Bourbon
Lattafa lists it as unisex
Top: pink pepper, lavender and mirabelle plum; Lattafa then gives cacao, davana and nutmeg in the heart, and vetiver, vanilla bourbon and amber underneath. The lavender and vanilla are shared with Goddess. The spices and vetiver make it warmer and drier, a relative rather than a twin, and an option for anyone who wants the idea in a spicier form that Lattafa sells as unisex.

Love Delight
2024
Pascal Gaurin composed this one, and Amouage names ginger, mandarin, rose water, cinnamon, heliotrope, jasmine, rose, vanilla, cocoa, rum and cypriol. It shares the vanilla, cocoa and ginger but has no lavender. Amouage points to the fragrant atmosphere of bakeries in Muscat and describes “the interplay of delicate florals and irresistible treats”, so the pastry side comes with flowers around it.

Libre Intense
Eau de Parfum Intense · 2020
Yves Saint Laurent pairs French lavender with Moroccan orange blossom, orchid and warm vanilla, and its press text calls it a more sensual take on the Libre Eau de Parfum. Lavender and vanilla are the shared pair. The orange blossom and orchid turn it floral, where Goddess’ published pyramid has no flowers. Anne Flipo and Carlos Benaïm are credited as the perfumers.

Ani
Extrait de Parfum
Nishane files Ani under spicy, woody and vanilla. The top has bergamot, blue ginger and pink pepper, the heart adds blackcurrant, Turkish rose and cardamom, and the base holds patchouli, cedarwood, vanilla, benzoin and sandalwood. The vanilla and the ginger overlap. It is drier and more woody than Goddess, and it has no lavender.

Vanille Caviar
2025
BDK built the heart around a vanilla caviar accord with salty, mineral accents, plus cocoa bean and osmanthus. The base is vanilla from CO₂ extract and absolute, Peru balsam and labdanum, and the top has blackcurrant, cardamom and calamus. Alexandra Carlin is the perfumer. The name echoes Goddess’ vanilla caviar, but BDK lists it as an accord in the heart, and the result is more resinous and ambery.

Which one to choose
- For the nearest note list: Angham, which keeps both the vanilla and the lavender.
- You find Goddess too sweet: Asad Bourbon leans on spice, and Ani goes woodier.
- For something floral: Libre Intense, or Love Delight if you also like the pastry side.
- For a more resinous, ambery vanilla: Vanille Caviar.
If Goddess is too sweet, or not warm enough
Two of the picks lean on spice and wood. Asad Bourbon adds nutmeg and vetiver, and Ani sits on cedarwood and patchouli. Ani is labelled Extrait de Parfum on Nishane’s page; our concentration explainer compares strength labels.
If you want more warmth, Burberry sells a later version, Goddess Amber Vanilla. It is an Eau de Parfum Intense with lavender and a maple-syrup accord on top, caramelised, roasted vanilla in the heart and an amber base. That is a Burberry fragrance, not a dupe. More vanilla perfumes are collected in our vanilla roundup.
How we picked
We read each note list as published by the brand or in its launch coverage and kept perfumes that carry vanilla. We then looked for a second overlap such as lavender, cacao or ginger, and chose a spread of styles: sweet, spiced, floral, woody and resinous. Two picks come from Lattafa; the rest each come from a separate maker.
We left out men’s fragrances whose only overlap with Goddess is a lavender or ginger note, and gourmands built on pistachio or coffee. The maker texts we read give no longevity figures, so we give no hours. A sample or a 3 or 10 ml decant is the way to find out how each one wears on you.
