The designer launches
This section covers five launches from large designer houses. L'Oréal's third-quarter sales release of 22 October 2026 names two of them, saying that Giorgio Armani I Will and Valentino Vendetta “had a promising start”. The same release says fragrances remained the “primary growth engine” of its Luxe division.

I Will

Alberto Morillas and Nathalie Lorson made it, and the press text puts the work at over four years and 2,800 trials. Bergamot and cardamom open, lavender and violet leaf form the middle, and the base is vanilla with leather and wood. Cosmetics Business reported a UK launch from 9 September.

Paradoxe Sweet Chemistry
Eau de parfum · 2026
Refillable, and one of two blackcurrant openings in this round-up: a blackcurrant syrup accord, then orange blossom absolute at the heart and a neroli milk accord in the base. Nadège Le Garlantezec, Shyamala Maisondieu and Antoine Maisondieu are the perfumers. Now Smell This reported it on 24 July. Readers who want the original line can start with the Paradoxe versions compared.

Black cherry carries it, with orange blossom, tuberose and jasmine sambac and a pure oakwood extract; rum, davana and vanilla are also listed. The house calls it a floral woody gourmand. Dominique Ropion, Anne Flipo and Meabh McCurtin are credited, and 10 Magazine reported it available online on 21 October.

Dior Sauvage Extrait launched on 6 August, according to Cosmetics Business. It is an extrait de parfum with what the house calls “record concentration levels”, made by Francis Kurkdjian. Oud wood is “the backbone” of its fougère, with smoky, earthy, resinous and animalic tones. What an extrait changes is covered in our look at concentration.
Valentino Vendetta arrives as a pair, both eau de parfum. Donna, by Dominique Ropion and Andrew Everett, uses a tuberose extract, a red orange nectar accord and New Caledonian sandalwood. Uomo, by Marie Salamagne, is built on fresh ginger, a cinnamon liqueur accord and a spicy, liquorous woody depth. Now Smell This announced the pair on 14 July without an on-sale date.
Reworked classics: Guerlain and Dior
Guerlain
L'Heure Bleue
Eau de parfum · 2026
An amber floral that Now Smell This describes as a reworking of the 1912 perfume of the same name. The top pairs an airy ozonic accord with pear and neroli; the heart is an iris tincture blended with iris butter and jasmine; the base is vanilla, ambroxan and musks. Delphine Jelk says she wanted to capture the blue hour with the tenderness of Jacques Guerlain's 1912 original.

Dior's Dioriginals restores 13 older scents with Francis Kurkdjian, launching on 1 October according to Cosmetics Business: Diorama, Eau Fraîche, Diorissimo, Diorling, Diorella, Dioressence, Jules, Dolce Vita, Dune, Dune Homme, Higher, Forever and Ever, and Higher Energy. All come in the Ovale bottle first made in 1948. Kurkdjian says a perfume should be cherished “like a fragile work of art”.

Creed
Iris Debonair
Eau de parfum · 2026
Now Smell This describes it as a new floral fougère. Bergamot is co-infused with absinthe leaves, English lavender from Kent and iris pallida from Les Landes follow, and cardamom, violet leaf, fig, ambrette and amberwood are also listed. No source names the perfumer. It comes in 50 and 100 ml, and L'Oréal credits Creed with “a strong performance” in the quarter.

Byredo Future Memories, by Quentin Bisch, opens with galbanum essence and blackcurrant accord, moves to orris butter, labdanum, orange blossom and white vanilla, and ends on vanilla liquor and Madagascar vanilla, V Magazine reports. Grazia USA writes that beauty editors have called it one of the best autumn launches of 2026.
Acqua di Parma Cedro Virtuoso, from the Signatures of the Sun line, starts with Calabrian bergamot and a co-infusion of Virginia cedarwood and hazelnut. Virginia, Atlas and Alaska cedars form the heart over sandalwood, Ambrox and tonka bean absolute. Its relatives are gathered in woody perfumes.
Amouage puts a number on concentration. Decision 42 and Overture 41 are sold at 42% and 41%, as the house states. Quentin Bisch’s Decision 42 combines neroli, cardamom and cinnamon with juniper, patchouli and pine tar, then vanilla and labdanum. Annick Ménardo’s Overture 41 sets saffron, Calvados and rose over sandalwood drèches, amber and patchouli. The earlier Decision is a separate perfume.
Max Mara Le Parfum is the first fragrance Shiseido has made under its licence with Max Mara. Its commercial rollout began on 24 August 2026 in select North American and European retail, reaching more than 50 markets from 1 September. It has an abundant woody structure of sandalwood and cedarwood, wrapped in tuberose absolute with vanilla for warmth. The maker claims 90% natural-origin ingredients and a vegan formula.
What the notes tell you
Two launches open on blackcurrant: Future Memories and Paradoxe Sweet Chemistry. Vanilla runs through more of the list, from I Will and Future Memories to L'Interdit Élixir and the base of L'Heure Bleue. For more of that family, see the best vanilla perfumes. Kent lavender in Iris Debonair, which Now Smell This calls a floral fougère, connects to the fougère family.
Grazia USA’s autumn list also describes Althaïr Exclusif as the original’s vanilla with a shot of amaretto, listing cinnamon, orange blossom, cardamom, praline, bourbon vanilla and guaiacwood. Dries Van Noten’s Velvet Violet, by Gaël Montero, is built on violet, pink pepper and sesame; Now Smell This reported on 16 July that it will launch, without an on-sale date.
